Zhaigang Village

Features:
This village was located at the northeastern side of Syuejia District. Being next to the banks of Jishui River, many merchants used bamboo rafts to ferry salted and pickled shrimps, oysters, fish, whelks, and fish and traded them for sweet potatoes and other staple foods. Given the large number of ferrymen and traders, the village eventually grew to become a small port (located at the coastal protection construct at Zhaigang and drainage canal of Jiutianliao), giving rise to the name Zhaizigang. Most residents are currently involved in farming, fishing, and animal rearing.
