Wheat is a specialty crop of Syuejia District. There are at least 40 hectares of wheat fields at Zhaigang Village and Xinda Village. Most of these farms are located below Zhaigang Bridge at Taiwan Provincial Highway 19 and is extremely accessible. Visitors traveling along 84 East-West Expressway can get off at Syuejia Interchange to reach the farms. The large wheat fields are located within the Jishui River flood protection levees. The best and closest vantage point to the wheat fields would be located at the riverbed that can be reached from South 7 to below Zhaigang Bridge. The wheat fields will gradually assume a golden yellow mantle in February and March and are ready for harvest during April. Visitors are more than welcome to witness this scenic beauty!
