Dawan Village

Wenhua Village is located at the east side of Taiwan Provincial Highway 19. During the Japanese Occupation period, it was designated as the 10th Bao of Syuejia-Sho. Da'an Village, on the other hand, was located at the west side of Taiwan Provincial Highway 19 and designated as the 11th Bao of Syuejia-Sho during Japanese Occupation. These two villages were collectively known as Dawan. Most villagers worked the sandy soil, which were capable of supporting various crops. Many famous figures in Taiwan were natives of these villages. Qingjigong, a Temple that serves as seats for Baosheng Dadi (Life Protection Emperor) and Yuwang Dadi (Emperor Yu). Qingjigong offers beautiful architecture and has a large number of devoted supplicants. The administrative district adjustments of February 1, 2006 merged Wenhua Village and Da'an Village to form Dawan Village.
